The striker ended his personal goal drought by scoring the third in an impressive victory that the England man believes can kick-start Spurs' campaign.
"What a performance as a team, incredible," Kane told Tottenham's official website after Saturday's triumph."Everyone was focused on what they had to do and we put in a real statement of a performance out there.
"City were top of the league (at start of play) and we showed what we're capable of. We've got a young team, a very energetic team and we're excited, we're enjoying every moment and days like today will give us even more confidence."
He later admitted his delight at opening his account, tweeting: "What a performance by the team! Showed what we are capable of! Delighted to get my 1st Prem goal of the season."
